    Hi,

Anybody got any idea about what's the difference between Sky Text (not Sky Teletext) and Sky Active?

    Are they both OpenTV?

What's Open TV's authoring software like?

What does 'pressing the red button' actually do on the STB?

If you wanted to look deeper into what was happening in that process, what would you do?

Its more branding than anything else. Sky Text is the direct teletext replacement, news info, that sort of fare, while Sky Active was originally known as "Open...." and that is where all the shopping and gaming takes place.

I've no idea on the architecture of the software, though :(

There's a diagram here that might give some insight, though not much
