That is a superb shot Achtungbarry- your Paris shots are just amazing.

Thank you for your kind comments. Paris is just one of those cities that presents so much in photographic opportunity. I try to go once or twice a year just to photograph and stroll. Amazing place with so much history.

Got unlucky with the clouds so didn't get many good shots of the alps but got some nice ones of the clouds coming over the hills.

It's weird seeing this without the snow.

It was very sunny (barring the clouds coming up around us), around 30 degrees. Strange when you're surrounded by snowy peaks.

First time being brave enough to post a pic. I'm right at the bottom of the learning curve:)

I use a complicated system using 'tinypic' as a host but would not recommend it.

Maybe one of the other posters can tell kevvhayes the best way to get the pic to appear on the screen - without the need of the link.

Depending on what website is hosting your picture (i.e. Flickr, pix.ie, or whatever) you should be able to grab some code like this:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lionelnashe/4951928909/&quot; title="Forest Gate by Shane_Dublin_1975, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4132/4951928909_9d2a9e933a.jpg&quot; width="500" height="333" alt="Forest Gate" /></a>

What I do (which may not be the quickest way) is click 'Insert Link' (the globe with the paperclip at the top of the posting box), paste the text from the other site, hit 'preview post' and delete any garbage that doesn't belong there.
