bread machine

Is it possible to make decent spelt free bread on a bread machine?

And where would you get a good one one? Are the ones in tesco or argos good?

I used to have a bread machine. It was a fairly cheap one from Argus, but it made good bread, and I loved it. I used to set it so it would make bread early in the morning, and the smell of fresh baked bread is the best alarm clock in the world.

I made all sorts of bread, not spelt, but lots of breads with oats and cheese and other stuff. not just basic white bread.

I gave my bread machine away. Why? Because the bread smelled and tasted wonderful, but it went stale quickly. So if you made a loaf of bread, you had to eat it the same day. And I did. I put on a stone. So byebye bread maker.

Goes stale everyday? but couldn't you just have frozen it?

Any old breadmaker will do for quality. You should be able to make spelt bread ok I think, although I have not. It doesn't go stale as fast as said and also can be frozen.

Frozen bread does not taste like fresh bread.

Not warm out of oven bread no, but the same as it is when frozen for most breads if you thaw it well.
