Second Hand Car Warranty

A friend is buying a car privately and is looking to purchase a warranty. Has anybody any experience (good or bad) of warranties you can buy from a company instead of the seller covering it

I doubt any will cover a private sale, it's difficult enough trying to get one for a car you purchase through a dealer.

Your post reads like your friend has a choice of warranties, I doubt any private seller in their right mind gives any form of warranty Even most dealer warranties on second-hand cars are limited in what they cover and unusually range from 0 to 6 mths depending on age of the car.

never herd of buying a warranty?? I know with ford you can buy extended warranty on new cars alright... what dose this company do inspect the car and you pay them for a warranty? id be just keeping the money
