DTT coverage in south west and will this box work with the irish DTT

work with the irish DTT?

The box listed seems to mention DVB-T (that's digital terrestrial television) as "TV Output" which is rather odd. Either that's a very poor typo or else the box isn't a dtt receiver full stop. It doesn't mention MHEG-5 for the interactive stuff so that may not work, and it seems very vague about what MPEG4 support it offers. I don't know anything else about the box so I wouldn't take a chance on it.

Abbeyfeale's an awkward place because of the hilly terrain so some places would have no problems while others might be stuck behind a hill. I'd expect most places there wouldn't have a problem.

If you have a larger flatscreen TV or anything with a "freeview" tuner you can use the digital tuner to scan in any available multiplexes (even if the TV can't show the video of the channels found) and you can check Irish DTT availability and signal quality that way.
