3 months off work, where to go? what to do?!

    Hey there,

    Well, I asked work if I could take 3 months off, not thinking for one second that they would actually let me I had no real plans...

    You can see where this is going, but I got the time off and now 'm looking for some cool ideas for what to do or where to go? If anyone can help.

    It'll be from Feb-May 2011 and ideally I'm thinking of something active and/or adventure based. One idea I have is to cycle across the USA as an example. Seeing a large part of the world is the idea but I like to be active and this will probably be the one big chance I get to do something cool.

    I have a fair bit of cash saved up for the trip as well.

    Any input appreciated...

    Look up Tour d'Afrique. They have a lot of (expensive) cycle tours. I think they have one leaving in January. Could join them in Feb for a bit.

    For adventure, South America or New Zealand have a lot to offer. Depends on your budget too. Could go on one of those trucks through Africa.

    Have a look into those cycle tours, they have some great ones.
