Drowning puppies cannot be shown to be more cruel than how a vet would put it down. Why is this so bad compared to say boiling a lobster alive?

Agreed. I love cats and dogs, but this case and the cat/bin one (neither of which I was able to watch) have really brought out some nuttiness - you wouldn't get that kind of hysteria in relation to mistreatment of some humans...
