I still haven't got an email either. I just rang there now and he told me to email trinity.hall@tcd.ie and ask them to confirm my place. He said that the list of numbers that were put up was a provisional list so I'm not sure if everyone on that is getting offered a place.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40 blue10

ok I emailed them and here's the reply:

"If your student number is on the Wardens list, you will definately be offered a room. Just be patient and you will receive an offer soon by email."

That's reassuring, I've also emailed them to confirm that I do actually have a place. I wish they'd hurry up with that email though, waiting for it has dragged the last three days into what feels like a month.

Hey, don't worry, if you were on the provisional list you WILL get offered a room! I rang them earlier and they didn't go down through the list in order because everyone had different circumstances etc. :D They also said that it could be as late as saturday to get an email...

88.02 is the best apartment in halls if you ask me. Take the twin room, I'd take it over cunningham. Not much hassle sharing with people you don't know, after about a week you stop caring.

Actually yeah, is there any plan or details about each apartment or even a layout of them anywhere?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭Groinshot

Eh not really, no. What do you want to know about them? there's enough people here that stayed there last year that will tell you what you need to now. The apartments vary from place to place too, some being slightly bigger and osme lsightly smaller.

Did anyone else get offered a twin room despite asking for a single and not checking the box that says you're willing to take a twin room?

Usually offer people who didn't get cunningham the twin rooms, and then whoever didn't get a single modern room the twin rooms next, after they've satisfied the demand. Twin rooms aren't that bad, They're Seriosuly larger than the single rooms.

House 82 is above the Laundry as far as I know, so 82.01 would be straight above it, looking out on to a roof of a balcony that you can't get onto, straight in front of you as you walk in the gates, rather than in one of the courtyards. never been in there, but I think it's a 6 people apt with all single rooms, but if I do remember correctly, the kitches in 81 and 82 are horribly laid out...

Not entirely sure again, but last year it was in the party courtyard, where the societies stands will be on the sat of freshers weekend, and where all the events are, on the right as you go in the gates, 3rd floor, think it looks out onto the main road as a corner apartment...
