About 30 minutes ago my tv reception when completely fuzzy as in; just static? I was recieving rte1+2, tv3 & tg4. using a standard rabbits ears type aerial.

Few minutes later reception returns but all scrambled. So i start the tv's auto search & a previously near perfect RTE1 reception is now practically gone??? The other 3 channels are fine.

The aerial didn't fall off the tv or anything. Whats going on?

    Where are you located?

Mullaghanish in Munster went off air tonight after midnight, possibly transmitter upgrade or maintenance work.

RTE's number one transmitter outside of Dublin is in Mullaghanish, Cork so that must be it.
