It has to be Bertie Ahern, he is responsible for sowing the seeds of our predicament and embezzling our wealth.Sean Fitzpatrick is a close second.Justifiably so.

    Do you believe it is

-Sean Fitzpatrick & banking co. For the billions that have been dumped into a black hole (Anglo Irish)and defrauding the people of this country.

-Mary Harney for the current state of the health system.(she is health minister even though she looks like she can inhale a hamburger)

-Brian Cowen for protecting vested interests, not calling a general election, not calling the by elections for the vacant seats and for having a complete joke of a cabinet, being leader of perhaps the most corrupt/expensive country in the EU, a joke of a leader, a joke of party. (I'm ranting so I will just say etc.)

    -Alan Dukes, for his lies

-Brian Lenihan, same as above along with the financial burden he has placed on top of the Irish
taxpayer, joke of a property tax (you are not taxed per property thus avoiding a substantial amount of revenue from his developer friends).

-Enda Kenny because he has no spine.

-Charles Haughey for what happened in the 80s.(Apparently Bertie Ahern has outdone him)

-Ray Burke for giving away our natural resources for practically nothing etc.

-De Valera for creating Fianna Fail in the first place amongst other things.

-Cardinal Brady, the Pope for how they have handled clerical abuse.

    -John Gormley

-Charlie McGreevy just for his voice alone.

    -Pat Neary

-The brain dead insufferable morons who seem to constitute the majority of the Irish population who all voted/vote for Fianna Fail despite everything, who put them into power in the first place.

Or maybe you still think its Oliver Cromwell,David Llyod George?

we can only collectively blame ourselves - even though Ive never voted FF (or FG or Labour) in my life ... it's still the fault of Joe Public for voting for the w@nkers in the first place

Spot on. Patrick Bartholomew Ahern - he who was just given a house for free, apparently, by a property developer (around the same time he was winning tens of thousands on horses, apparently) is, without doubt, the chief culprit in this whole sorry mess.

If he had any honour it would be he who would "commit suicide", rather than tell his critics to do precisely that, as he did during the "boom".

The rightwing ideologue Charles McCreevy, the bookies' best friend, is not far behind him (especially when it comes to buying elections without examining the cost of his electoral promises). Neither is Mary O'Rourke, she who came out two years ago and accused those who questioned Ahern's ethics of being "traitors to Ireland". An ugly, corrupt mé féiner clique if ever there has been one.

Anyone else find the name Fianna Fáil should in theory be called Sinn Fein (We Ourselves) an appropiate name for such a political party given the contemptible sort of people who constitute it.

I'm guessing you're a Republican of the American sort if you thing Fianna Fáil means 'we ourselves'.

Might want to brush on your Irish

    Sinn Féin means "we ourselves"

Fianna Fáil doesn't have perfect transalation but is generally accepted as Soldiers of Destiny.
Na Fianna were soldiers, if you did the old Celtic myths at school

I don't what you are implying but I am Irish born and bred, but sorry I left Sinn Fein out of my post accidentally.

-Mary Harney for the current state of the health system.(she is health minister even though she looks like she can inhale a hamburger)

At first I thought it was harsh calling her a man, but on reflection, it was probably a correct assesment considering the state of her.
