Gandini Biomatich 91 MTS woodchipper help?

    My uncle bought a second hand Gandini Biomatich 91 MTS woodchipper. The machine has an automatic setting which allows the machine to run continuously, and it will automatically back up if something too large gets stuck in it.
    The machines is currently running properly in manual mode, but the automatic back up has stopped working. So if the machine gets stuck, it heats and melts a solder filled fuse/switch and trips the machines.

    Any ideas what would cause this to happen?

    We think it may be a motion sensor thats stopped working, but we're having great difficulty finding troubleshooting help on this particular machine
