Have had a few problems with philips cd-changer hifis in the past but generally their single cd items have given me no troubles at all, and sound quality-wise they're usually adequate at most music.
I'm presuming that something that size is going in a small room?

Yup. The Expanium/mp3 capability was the thing that caught my eye though.
