Huh. I expected the split point to be closer to the middle of the book.

Its a good decision IMO. it means the battle of Hogwarts should be at least half of the the final film and won't be like the last movie disreguarding the actual fighting in Hogwarts.

It's nearer the middle than you think when you consider the destruction of the Burrow will likely see the wedding scene left out.

The wedding scene is definitely in the movie. The movie was test screened in Chicago last weekend and this was confirmed. I'd say it's likely that a lot of the camping and travelling through forests will be cut out or maybe even made into a montage (preferably not like those in OOTP!).

So they have the wedding in a ruin then, or another location?

Well I don't know, I haven't seen the movie. Maybe they rebuilt it?

This should give you some info, it's full of spoilers though: http://www.mugglenet.com/movies/movie7/dh_review.shtml

That's a good read, and is good to see a lot of the stuff the internet masses thought would be left out are in. Looks like just about everything is left in. They must have really cinematised the battle for part 2.

    God so many places!

The Wedding maybe when the Patronus informs them "Scrimgeour is dead The Ministry has Fallen" that would be a good cliff hanger

Ah now in all fairness the wedding would be waaaay too early to cut it!
