Had a Double Decker earlier. I think I am going off Cadbury's, it tasted ming. Too sugary or something.

'Green and Blacks' white chocolate is the only man for me.

Totally off topic, but did anyone ever have Barry McGuigan nettle flavour crisps from back in the day.
    5p a bag.

Food of kings (or sadistic lunatics!)

    ETA: Star Bars are yum.

During the past few years, Cadbury's have begun to use glucose-fructose syrup in most of their bars and they taste terrible.

They aren't alone in that mind, most processed food manufacturers are beginning to use the stuff these days.

    This is an outrage!

Why do they do things like this? I just presumed my tastes were becoming more refined.

I only know of one place that sells them, Mr. Treats in Temple Bar. Haven't seen one in a newsagents in years.

I used to love them, but wouldn't touch one now.

And those scumbags at Haribo stopped using artificial colours and flavours.

They're sweets... thats kinda the point. I can only imagine some idiotic parents complained about their kids getting a bit hyperactive and they took away half the ingredients. Listen parents, if you don't want your kids eating that sort oif thing, don't feed it to them. If I want to fill myself with crap don't get in my way. My favourite sweets were those rhubarb and custards, the soft ones. Pink and neon greeen they were, now they're sort of slime coloured and taste really bland.

Sweets are bad for you either way, stop trying to... um.. sugarcoat them!

Removing MSG and artificial colours and flavourings is one thing, using glucose-fructose syrup instead of sugar is quite another.

The stuff tatses too sweet and sickly.

    Horrible.

Real sugar please, I'll pay the extra 4c, I don't mind.

Nah, way too sweet. And sort of.. wrong. It's the texture of chocolate, but a sort of caramelish taste. Like a milkybar that's past its sell by date.
