Noob Tubes or Commando?

Marathon, Lightweight Commando!

I voted for noob tube, but thinking about it again, it might actually be commando. I hate running up against someone with commando on them, and them teleporting past your bullets. A random tube is annoying but possibly not as much as that knife death. But when a few of the enemy are rocking that class, then it gets ridiculous.

I came up against a sniper in a game on Skidrow and he had the RPG attached as his secondary, but basically used it as his primary. He killed me with it about 5-6 times, and I was well p1ssed off by the end. But in fairness he did it quite well and was hard to kill. I got him a few times, but once he saw you, you were dead. The thing is, he was probably trying to finish a challenge, and he ended up scoring something like 16-19 whereas I went positive despite him. But that kind of stuff annoys me. I mean use it where it's useful, but to go negative just to unlock challenges doesn't make sense to me, and it means that there were constant rockets going all game. :rolleyes:

Has to be Marathon/Lightweight/Commando. For a while i noticed that this class wasn't being used as much and that made the game better IMO but its picked up in popularity again on the PS3. It just annoys me when someone all the way ooooover there knifes ya! Even worse when you side step them a good bit and they still somehow manage to get you!

I don't mind commando as much, because i can usually kill them before they do anything.

I also don't mind grenade launchers, what I do hate it people running around with them selected and even though i shoot and kill them first they managed to fire one off before they died and strike a wall or the ground near me.

People say "it's there to be used, stop moaning nubfág" yeah, it's in the game and you may use it, but I still see it as a tactic for people who are otherwise too rubbish to get kills normally.

I know what you're saying Rob but I've found myself using the rpg the last few times just for the sheer fun of it. Mainly in Domination where my k/d isn't as important to the team, but I use it simply coz its great fun. I'm not hung up on my k/d like Brian is for example, saying that I would like it to be 1/1 !!

I've no problem with someone using it on Domination at all, and I know it can be fun at times to use the RPG. It just seemed strange that yer man was playing TDM and using an RPG as his primary weapon. I mean, if you are looking to just complete challenges on a gun, I wouldn't play the one gametype that is won by your k:d ratio. Maybe the fact that he got me so many times and I could do nothing about it made it worse. I've no idea how he was reloading so frequently, but I suspect going by his score, that he'd kill me with it, show up on UAV, get killed and end up finding me again. I went after him a few times and got once or twice, but he probably won our 1v1 side game.

I'm not hugely hung up about the k:d, although I do keep an eye on it. It's been sitting at 1.37 for a while, and when it looks like dropping after playing some Dom games, I make sure to nurse it back up towards 1.38 again. I might focus on it again at some point to try to hit the 1.5 mark, but not that bothered at the moment.

Not really, i know alot of people that use it for a laugh every now and then.. it is an easy tactic. Imma gonna upload a gameplay i captured a few nights ago, used noobtubes/oma for most of it, think i ended on 80 kills and 6 deaths... but still... i know i can do just as well with most other guns.

It is anoying as ****, but really, i wouldn't say only noobs do it as im sure most people use it now and then.

From time to time myself on COD4 i'd throw on overkill with two guns with grenade launchers in a game of S&D, you'd get silly amounts of kills, but i felt bad doing it.

like that it's not so much people waiting around corners, i would say camping but i hate that phrase, with grenade launchers, but it's people that run around with them, and rockets and the likes that annoy me.

I hate the lightning knifers too, its such a crap kill, cant be satisfying to either party I reckon. I do however keep a "witch" class myself, just for Sabo or CTF, if my team is getting hammered its handy to be able to grab the objective and run it out of danger then switch back to normal class.

Noob tube for me. I hate when someone takes a pot shot in your general direction and grts the the kill. A game with 4 or 5 noob tubers is unplayable.
Nothing more satisfying than killing someone that refuses to use their gun and is running towards you with their knife
