Hard-back crabs

    Iv only used peeler crabs when beach fishing as iv bought them, but can you use normal hard back crabs that you find in rocks as bait for beach fishing for bass and flat fish?

    For Wrasse yes, wouldnt be so sure of other species.

    Like stylie said they are pretty good bait for wrasse. Ive never had anything else on them I think sticking with rag and lug for bass and the flatties would be better than the hardbacks.

    Yeah gave them ago monday night down the local strand, nothing! Think ill stick to the lug's:D
