    Despite this being AH and all I'm going to make a serious post...

    If that was my sister/mother/friend/gf whatever in one of those videos I would be extremely pissed off. Videoing people in such a manner is seriously not on, and I hope the person who made the clips is charged with something. Sad pervert getting his kicks because he can't get laid in a normal manner no doubt.

    Good news is I know what bus stop he waits at..so I can make a report to the gardai who in turn can look up CCTV footage of the area on the date the video was shot.

    I agree it's a pretty horrible thing to do but I can't imagine the guards taking time out to trawl through CCTV looking for someone who isn't exactly obvious.

    If people are in a public place its not illegal AFAIK. If he was doing it in a gym or something or a swimming pool it might be different. Everyone has ability to do this these days with cameras on mobiles etc. I suppose if women dont want to be videoed they will have to cover up. This sort thing has been happening for years abroad on nude beaches etc.

    I think those girls are way too skinny. I think if they had nicer bodies then the Guards would take the time out to trawl through CCTV, contrary to your point. I think the Guards would set up a specialist unit to observe the footage on a continuous and full time basis.
    Also it is not illegal to look at a fully clothed adult woman in public and it is not illegal to film them either. It may be the ultimate plunge into the dark depths of depravity and perversion But the Law upholds you.

    I'm pretty sure recording people either by video or audio is some sort of breach of the right to privacy. Although apparently our constituion doesnt actually specifically mention any right to privacy :confused:

    You can record whatever or whoever you want, whenever you want so long as you do it FROM public land and so long as it isn't a restricted site (military buildings and so on)
