Buy an used motorbike in Limerick

Hi lads,

new guy in the board, my name is Albert and I've just get to Limerick by job reasons. It's been a few days since i'm following some threads and I think there is a very good atmosphere here!

Here is my question, I have the B driving license, I mean, the normal car license, and in Spain (where i'm from) i can drive until 125cc bikes, I know that here I can't drive a 125 cc without a special exam, but, I was wondering if I could drive a 49cc bike without anything else...

Either the answer is yes or no, do you know somwhere to buy a cheap second hand bike, I mean a some kind of magazine or paper with bike ads?

Buy & Sell is a yellow paper you'll see in most shops, they also have a website. Just search google.ie for 50cc bikes and you should find plenty. I say google.ie, because your own computer may have google.es as it's default domain, meaning you'll not get the same results.

Hi man thanks for your answer, I've checked via email with Citizens Info centre, let's see if i'm lucky there, and I'm gonna look on google about that site.. otherwise I gonna grab that paper.

Hi Albert,

As far as I know you need a provisional A/A1 license to drive a moped.

You will get a cheap one on Adverts.ie or you could try Meskells out the Dublin road. Not sure does he do mopeds but you could pick up a Gilera DNA or something similar
