It WILL be picked up in the medical IF you get that far, it shouldn't prevent you getting the job if no other issues worse than it are discovered.

I've got my test on Tuesday, 31st August in Dublin

The standard Ishihara test is used to detect colourblindness in the medical. This is the one with a number, depicted by a series of coloured dots, contained within a circle depicted by yet more dots of a contrasting colour.
Google it and have a look. If you cant pass that, you wont get past the medical.
Colourblindness is a major problem for anyone using our system, as all of the labels on the flights can display a wide array of colours, which each have their own relevance.
Unfortunately for some, there is no chance of anyone being issued a medical cert, if they have colourblindness.
In general, the IAA have never had so many peolpe apply for an SCP intake, and they are being extremely selective in the candidates that they will call for the various stages of the recruitment.

I'm afraid that at the moment i dont have that sort of info. This is a brand new format for the competition, because of the huge volume of applications.
Working backwards, there are meant to be 24 jobs, last time about 100 were called for final interview, and about 250(??) did the computer testing.
You can imagine that there will be a huge cull of numbers after the "pen and paper", but at this stage, your guess is as good as mine, sorry.

The paper and pencil test - what format is it? Is it just like general test in the areas they specified, somewhat similar to tests numerical reasoning, abstract reasoning tests, etc., available on the internet?
