    Hi,
I was hoping someone could give me an approximate driving time between galway (city) and dublin airport?

Are there many tolls to pay on the motorway and how much are they?

    Thanks!

Three tolls, one near Loughrea, one near Enfield, one on the M50. The one on the M50 is barrier free, pay by telephone before you leave. About €3 each, give or take.

As for the journey, usually around 3 hours if obeying the limits and not arriving in Dublin at rush hour.

If you are planning to catch a plane, add 30 minutes for parking and getting to the terminal.

Galway Clinic to long term carpark will take under 2 hours. Tolls are 1.90, 2.90 and 3.00. Book parking in advance for a discount.

Google Maps is actually out of date - it still doesn't have the new segment of motorway opened last December! So the journey is faster then the ETA that it gives.

Seeing as the route is now entirely motorway (M6-M4-M50-M1) you could easily do the journey in 2hrs 40. If you were leaving in the middle of the night you would probably do it in 2 1/2. Soundbyte you are being a bit optomistic, maybe breaking the speed limit in zero traffic you could do it in that!
