Do I have to pay that €10 when I fly INTO Knock as well?

Used Knock Airport for the first time a few months ago to fly out, and was charged a ludicrous €10 for the pleasure of an expensive ticket and airport tax. They told me my airline would have told me at the time of booking, which is a lie, but anyway, will I be victim to this modern day highway robbery when I fly back in?
