NBA 2K11 or NBA Elite 11

Both games coming out soon, both should have a demo in September. I saw a vid on Elite (formerly Live) and they are spouting new physics that have never been seen before and sounds like they are making good strides but then I saw a vid for 2K11 that features The legend Michael Jordan so thats that decided. Video looks excellent as well. I played NBA 2K10 and loved the My Player mode but it had many many flaws. Can't wait to compare these demo's.

Anyone gonna get either of these?

NBA 2K11 for me...2K10 was decent enough so you can trust this will be good

Jus saw the Jordan challenge mode. Actually play the highlights of Jordans career and reach certain goals like score the same amount or points or over as he did in the real game. They will have classic teams from the 80's and 90's with Ewing, Bird, etc. This has just become day one purchase for me! This and EA MMA will keep me busy in October!

think its 2k11 where u can actually play as Jordan. the other game has jordan challenges but u cant play as him.

should be bits and bobs on youtube id imagine. dont think theyve been keeping it secret. basically its a dual stick approach - left stick is feet, right stick is hands. sounds like it might be a bit tricky but its an absolute dream. shooting mechanic has been reworked too, so you can now overcook shots to throw ally opps, or play backboard shots manually. the whole thing is insanely intuitive, people are gonna find all kinds of different tricks. its 100% physics based too, so there are no preset animation loops, meaning you can play however you want and every command results in an authentic result

What was the online play like in 2k10?

I had 2k9 and couldn't stay connected to a game.
Went for Live '10 last year and really enjoyed it. Online wasn't too bad. Some dodgy connections now and then though.

The new Elite physics looks really good!

Which one is coming with NBA Jam on it. I know it's the EA version but I'm not sure which one is the EA game! That'd be enough to sway me one way or the other.

I never played online with 2k. I spent all my time on My Player (frustratingly!!!). 2K said online was their biggest focus this year as thats what the fans wanted.

EA is NBA Elite. They have the NBA Jam game and the physics sound brilliant. I was set on 2k but just read a preview of Elite and the controls and physics just sound class so i'm really really stuck now on what to get.

I have nba jam on emulator so not pushed that they are adding that.
