Epson Printer SX515W wifi connection problems

    Hi all
    connected this printer via instructions install software but when it gets to is your printer connection between laptop i get error connection failed
    my laptop is wireless and i used a belkin wireless router
    any help

    hi pollyo just noticed your message,I too bought an Epson sx515w and have experienced the same problem with a message appearing can not recognise printer. I am trying to install the programme on a medion laptop (new laptop windows 7) and I have wireless broadband from eircom. I'm just wondering did you get it sorted. I get as far as connecting the usb port and can't get any further, also it takes over 2 hours for the cd to run. any help would be greatly appreciated.
    p.s the printer works when the usb port is connected but can't get it to work wirelessly.

    I have that printer .Connects to wireless no problem

    I have the same printer, tried installing it via Win7 and got bored mid-way.. why can't it be simple?
    Installed on Linux Mint in seconds and even with my Android phone, almost instantly... :rolleyes:

    well the only option I have is to install it on laptop with windows 7, so i'll be continuing to tear my hair out!!!

    No never got it sorted will only work plugged in usb way
    Just wondering if its a problem with my belkin router which will not assign it a Ip address wirelessly
    Anyone else have any other ideas as to the problem

    I've the same printer - I bought it a few months ago and had no problem setting it up. For the past week it has decided that it's offline, even though the work offline option is unticked. It wouldn't print anything at all. Uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still won't print anything, even with the USB cable plugged in. Going crazy because I need to print tickets for a concert this weekend and it won't let me! When I try printing from any programme, the programme freezes, after about ten minutes the printer starts making weird noises, eats the paper, and says the job is done!
