Have you tuned the TV in the bedroom in?

As a side note, afaik you should have a fly lead between the magic eye and the TV and not plug the magic eye into the back of the TV, (can't remember why thou)

    Sorry Qwerty

No i never tuned it in as it never said anything about tunning it in on the instructions i taught it would be on one of the VCR stations or something like that.

Also do you think it could be something to do with the wall socket its coming from.

You need to tune the TV in. Simplest way is to use the Auto method. If you are getting a light, and are able to change the channels in the bedroom there is nothing else wrong.
