    Everything about that man is unfunny; I just never got what others got regarding him. Similar to Mr. Bean, Tommy Tiernan, Billy Connolly and some others....

    Ricky gervais is rather mediocre, i prefer a somewhat more intelligent breed of humour. I find all this crude smut & innuendo oh so tiresome. I crave a higher standard of wit.

    whatever about ricky gervais (whom i haven't seen alot of) and billy connolly (who is not funny), how can you say mr bean is not funny :eek:

    Depends on the role. IMHO The Office and Extras are classics and he's funny in them. Other stuff I've seen him in is generally mediocre.

    I've always enjoyed Ricky Gervais, I loved Office, Extras and his Stand Up comedy. However I don't like his movies that much.

    He is absolutely genius in the office

    His films and stand up wouldn't really be to my taste but his podcasts with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington are fooking hilarious, thats mainly down to Karl though

    Completelty unfunny tosser. Useless live, crap movies - and the office is inexplicable in its success. Awful ****e altogether...

    I've only ever been able to sit through one episode of Extras and that was the one with David Bowie. David Bowie was actually ten times funnier than Ricky Gervais could ever hope to be. I know Ricky Gervais wrote the script, but it was David Bowie that made it (very slightly) funny.

    He also wrote what was arguably the worst ever episode of The Simpsons. Not only is he unfunny but he helped put the nail in the coffin of one of my favourite programmes.

    He seems to think he's funny by just laughing out loud at STUPID stuff (not funny stuff )....I did enjoy the Office but nothing after that was even remotely funny, even his interviews are bad
