Hanging bag or freestanding?

I've been doing a bit of training on a bag at the gym for about a year now and would like to get one for my house but I'm not sure whether to go for a hanging bag or freestanding, don't have a garage or anything to put it in so it would be a case of hanging it up to train and then taking it down again to see the tv from the couch! I'm not sure if the ceiling would hold a bag and bracket so have been looking at freestanding bags but they appear to be way more expensive than the rest.
    Any advice?

Hanging bag is much better, but since you have nowhere to put it you'll have to go for a freestanding. It's a pity because they are more expensive and less useful. Don't risk hanging a bag from a ceiling in the house, definitely not a good decision!
