Have you been recognised on Boards.ie?

So I've been reading through some of the PI and Relationship stuff here - and alot of the info is pretty detailed. One guy wrote about ten texts he had received from his girlfriend - if I was that girlfriend, I would recognise myself!

Has anyone every copped that you are YOU on boards.ie?? Like has anyone every said 'was that you who posted all those texts I sent you at 3am this morning'???

And if you're copped, do you care? Though this is AH, so I almost know the answer to that question already:rolleyes:

I've met a few simply cos I saw their pictures and recognised them, and they happen to live reasonably close to me.

I got found out on Digital spy.. It was going around the HR wanted my head but couldent prove it.. Still not sure if they think it is me. I spead a rumor it was someone else..

Ive moved job and now it says in my contract that I cant talk about my job on forums.. Its a company policy not just for me.. I think its better for everyone tho..

I posted something, and then put something similiar on my Facebook page. One of my mates commented on it. I'd discovered already she was a boardsie, but she didn't know i was.

We still haven't mentioned it to each other actually..

One or two posters have turned up at protests I've helped organise (and recognised me) or/and I have recognised one or two others here who turn up at the Dail when I do be up that direction.

I got recognized once when a friend of mine say where I'd been posting about in the travel forum, and then see clicked to see my other posts and saw I was learning Russian. I try to keep things clean anyway so don't really mind anyone knowing who I am.

Yes everyone knows I'm the greatest jockey of all time - I get recognised quite often tho it does annoy me when people say "Ah Mr. Fallon you're that guy from Boards" rather than "Ah Mr. Fallon whats it been like to win the Epsom Derby 3 times and be 6 times Champion jockey!"

Yea. Someone (I now know), knew me from outside Boards, but didn't know I was on Boards. I made a thread about a programme featuring people from the town I'm from and she knew me from my username, it's pretty obvious

Yeah a girl from school recognised me, and I'm pretty sure several other people have but haven't said it to me. Not too bothered about it.

There's three or four people that I've recognised myself! They wouldn't be people I know very well though so I haven't bothered saying anything to them.

I've been recognised once by a Mod here who happens to be a mate (who i had no idea was even a Boardsie).

I have recognised others and played games with them. Throwing in references to them personally here and there (obviously in a fun way as i know them) and getting reactions like "WTF?" and "How do you know that?".

It's quite fun, and now that i think about it i've never actually told them who i was. Maybe i should. One is a VERY regular poster here in AH actually.
