I was just wondering if anyone else here is (or was I should say was ) a Pierce Brosnan fan?

And how you felt when he did the movie Ghostwriter by convicted child rapist Director Roman Polanski??

I totally lost all respect for Brosnan and threw out all my videos of his.

I totally take the act of raping a child seriously. It really disturbed me.

The film is already out in video rental here in the states. Guess alot of people here felt the same way. Or maybe it was just not that great a movie. Will never know cause I never plan to see it.

Anyone else here feel the same way?

It's just a job to him though,a job is a job like.

Dunno if it's ever happened to me but a favourite drummer of mine died a while ago and I still think he faked his death, seems like something he would do anyway.:pac:

The guys from Superbad,Knocked up etc, they were alright at the start, hate them now, especially Seth Rogan.

Because they're just annoying as feck now, popping up in every film, playing pretty much the same character.
    Seth Rogan - Funny Stoner
    Michael Cera - Awkward teenager

    Seth Rogen is hilarious

he doesn't always play the stoner....

in "Funny People" he essentially plays himself and hes starring in the new Green Hornet movie. Which I doubt he'll be smoking weed in.....

He's a stoner in Knocked up though.;)

Funny People on the other hand...

Well you missed out on a hell of a good movie. People have different parts to their selves. We can still enjoy the fruit of Polanski's talent even if he's done bad things in the past.

I thought that film was awful.
He did basically stick to his normal awkward teen role, just with a slight twist.
Just think the guy is a terrible actor.
    He is.

Check him out in Freaks and Geeks.
It's a tv show that had one season from 99-00 and also stars James Franco and Jason Segel.

Still don't really like the guy as an actor, but he plays a different kind of role in Freaks and Geeks, in that he isn't fishing for laughs.

I can't imagine you being able to find anybody who isn't in someway connected to a criminal. You're going to be left with no movies at all.

Or when he put that hamster/gerbil/kitten/chihuahua up his bum

I do believe Roman Polanski should return to the US and face his punishment (which will be a slap on the wrist, him being a celebrity and all), but the man lived through the holocaust and had his wife and unborn child mutilated by the Manson family. That would send anyone over the edge.

To be totally honest with you OP I couldn't give a flying fanny fart what celebrities do in their private lives. If I enjoy them/their work I'll continue to do so. I mean how many people thought Michael Jackson was a crazy kiddy fiddling bastardo but yet mourned his death and ran out to buy his Best Of when he snuffed it?

I'm more likely to look at actors differently if they play a role that bothers me, for example when Laurence Fishburne played Ike Turner or when Jeremy Irons played that weird gynecologist twin in Dead Ringers. For ages when I saw them on screen I automatically crossed my legs, but I still love The Matrix and Die Hard With A Vengeance.
