    Hi There,
My parents have a JVC DTV ,and I was trying to tune it in for DTT, I able to search for channels and find some. However when I put on one of the stations I can hear the audio but there is no video. With a statement on the screen "the channel is scrambled or no signal". When I looked at the settings I noticed that it was set for the UK, and I could not change that setting or more like there was no other option available to me but the UK. Also take note that I was using a normal analogue aerial for this. I was hoping that some one might point me in the right direction before I contact JVC this week when I get time.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like your tV is MPEG2 only and cant pick up the picture as its DVB-T/MPEG4

Definitely sounds as if your TV is MPEG 2 only. Also note there is no such thing as an "ordinary analogue aerial". An aerial doesn't care whether the signal it is receiving is analogue or digital. Though if your aerial is VHF you do need a UHF one for digital in Ireland. But if the TV is MPEG 2 only changing the aerial won't help.
