Anyone here won anything worth mentioning? I've won loads of tickets to gigs and meet and greets , but the best thing was porbably an Ipod! ( I know , not that exciting but somebody must have something interesting :) )

I win a lot of stuff, my mates are always slagging me about it.

best one I've won was a €5k snowboarding holiday. Flew us out to london, put us up in hilton overnight, then on to Morzine the next day. 10 prizewinners, staying in a private chalet, with a chef on site to provide all our meals. hot tub steam room sauna, the place was amazing!

Best bit though was the prize included lessons from Lesley McKenna, the number 3 in the world female snowboarder. As everyone else was a beginner and I was a bit experienced, she'd do a beginner lesson with all of them, then take me off snowboarding for the day, so I got 3 days of private coaching from an olympic snowboarder! Highlight was when she brought me to a different mountain to introduce me to the British Junior snowboarding team, and i went for a few runs with all the best young boarders from the UK. Ridiculously hard to keep up with them, but such an experience.

Other stuff I've won, a sailing holiday, lots of concert tickets, match tickets, mobile phones, ipods, watch, i've lost track really. Kept track last year and won somewhere in the region of 6k worth of goods. Trick is to look for those competitions that are slightly awkward to enter, and not well promoted. If any competition has "get the answer from here, then go to this site and do this, then email the answer and the code to this thing" sort of spiel, its worth entering cos it puts 99% of people off bothering.

oh, and I'm currently struggling to work my way through €500 of HB icecream. have a freexer full of twisters at the moment. :D

A phone from an Ice Cream stick text-in code years ago.

Wasn't the best, but it did the job at the time.

I won an iPod from the Guardian. I think that's about it.

I used to win loads of tickets to gigs from entertainment.ie, but they were normally for bands I wasn't really into (or some that I hadn't even heard of). I still went along, though, and mostly had some good nights with friends.

I used to be so lucky when I was younger. If there was ever a raffle or something in school, I always seemed to win. I think I used up all my luck a little too young, though! It's kind of dried up in recent years.

1st prize in the 6th class christmas raffle. :D

And then I won twice in one raffle at easter the same year.

I also won a yugioh tournament when I was younger, and got into the top 64 in the country when I was 12. I felt pretty damn proud. :pac:

In playschool I won a medal for blatantly cheating. We were having a race down the hill and I just took off before everyone else, not stopping until I was at the end of the field. :pac:

When I was at work one of the women brought a packaged Xbox 360 into me, I said to her "Am I supposed to fix this for someone?" to which she replies that I won it in the company Xmas raffle................which I didn't even know existed :D

Won 2 tickets to Oxegen this year on this site :pac:

Won tickets to the Cats Laugh festival in Kilkenny a few years back, was excited about winning them until I realised that I'd have to pay to see any of the acts................sorta defeated the purpose of winning any sort of a ticket
