Same as burglary really, only you don't get to shoot him coming up the hallway.
Meanwhile a young lad is probably being busted for carrying a 5 spot as we speak.

Brian Cowen? Oh wait, maybe either one of the Lenihans, possibly harney? Hanifan is a possibility or indeed manseragh? Coughlan isnt capable of speaking english, nevermind bullsh!ting in it. Good old Batt is good at spinning a yarn, as is Willie. Gormless may be away with the fairies and i dont know could ryan be called a bullsh!tter - he just deluded enough to believe everything he says.

Or it could have just been the KING of the bullsh!tters....bbb bbbb bbbbb Bertie!

The Minister for Bullsh1t changes on a daily basis, so that he or she can come out with the same old crap, and pretend that it's never been said before.

The bollix probably has some lackey to sift through his mail but I hope he gets to hear a few words from the people he's been stealing from.

    Here's a few from me:

Still might be worth clogging up the inbox, I also think it's good that people spend time to write down their thoughts/opinions and are clear on the magnitude of their feelings. I did it and couldn't believe how angry I actually was. This is a horror on our republic, an absolute change of attitude is needed.

The other senators don,t like him, hes drawing attention to how much money they get for expenses.
I HOPE they close down the senate ,its a talking shop that,s costing millions to run, which is totally useless .
IT serves no purpose ,but to give a home to old tds that cannot get elected, and party hacks.
Go to senate, get large salary, fat pension for talking to other politicians.

Well that isn't true. Some senators, particularly those elected by the universities often draw attention to important issues ignored by the rest of the oireachtas. I'm thinking here particularly of David Norris and all the work he did in de-criminalising homosexuality. There are examples of others too.

Ivor callely is a true patriot ,he is actually part of a group of people who are trying to create an irish mysticism around the world.
Poor Ivor and his ff counterparts have literally taken this too far though.

We need to remind them ,theres no such thing as leprechauns and crocks of gold ,thats actually our taxes we paid and we don't want our money squandered. Please fianna fail ,give us a break!

Senator Callely declared that he would not be stepping down from his €80,000 a year position in the Senate

    Warra surprise!

Yes there are other politicians who as crooked as the road to a-halfs-graw but the difference between them and Ivor is Ivor has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, yet with some ludicrous law preventing him being sacked he's going to dig the heels in and not move.

If Ivor is not removed from his position by any means, the government are going to spark the general public into action, and we all know how hard it is to get any Irish person to convert their words into actions.

Would the Irish people care to accept their portion of the blame for electing 77FF TD's and giving them 41.6% of the vote or are the FF voters who gave them this going to pretend they didnt vote for them.

Nobody can excuse the recent expenses scandal, However I think we all remember this

    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/moriarty-tribunal-haughey-stole-45m-65364.html

What about Ray Burkes stint in the clink for falsifying Tax Returns.

Then we have the boul Liam Lawlor who did bird for his failure to cooperate with the mahon tribunal.

I think we can see the pattern here. Now forgive my cynicism here for a second but when I hear FF voters say that they will never vote FF again for their poor performance in goverment (forgetting about the Ivor Callely situation and all the above history) I simply do not believe them. I will only believe it when I see it.

Additionally, this Ivor callely situation is nothing new as we can see from the examples above. Different circumstance but tantamount to the same thing. The abuse of office for their own gain. How the FF party has remained the strongest party in this state boggles my mind and simply confirms my belief that Irish people either love a stroker or enjoy having their money stolen from them.

The entire poltical class have a collective reponsibility for allowing porly defined policies and procedures exist to allow and prolong this type of behaviour from the holders of public office at any level.

He should have had his (leaving) TOAST long ago but as I said, this is Ireland... :(

Mods, can we make exceptions to this guy - seriously he's a joke and i would egg him at the first sight of him.*

Only news being currently reported is what is on the table here as far as I can see, Callely isnt getting TomOC'd just yet.

    This thread is valid.

He's just carrying on the age-old Irish political practice of pretending he's a feckin saint, denying the obvious truth, when the world and his father knows that he's spouting bullsh1t. Another long goodbye!

Once they're found out, it never takes this long for UK politicians to feck off back to the obscurity they deserve.
