Missing Person Sonia Dowling. Mod warning in post 9

I find it decidedly strange that I asked some questions yesterday regarding her passport, her bank account and mentioned that I lived in the Netherlands and know that it's the kind of place strays and runaways often pass through...then LO and BEHOLD word goes around that she's been spotted in Holland and there's footage of her at an ATM machine. If this is not true then I smell a scumbag agent provocateur fabricating a tale based on my questions and posting it to someone or other.

When someone goes missing, the first thing to check is to see whether their passport is gone too. If it's NOT, they can't get further than the UK (from Ireland), unless they're particularly furtive and can stowaway. IF their passport IS gone, then it can be safely assumed that the person has the intention of absconding, not of committing suicide or has probably not been abducted.
Again if the passport IS gone, then this information is immediately relayed to port authorities to check whether that person passed through jurisdictions. If the person DID pass through, say Dutch passport control, then the manhunt in Ireland can be suspended since that missing person is now on the Continent somewhere. If there's any truth to this ATM in Holland story then this girl would have had to have gone to the Netherlands on Tuesday or Monday night since the story of her being missing appeared on the RTE site on Monday and if her passport was used prior to Monday, gardai in Ireland would have been notified by Interpol. Unless I'm giving more credit than is due to these agencies.
