I rang Sky today to get in Sky Sports, it seemed straightforward until the guy says that i cant get it in until the Movies are out. See, i wanted to get the Movies out a few weeks ago but with this new "30 day notice" policy they have, i have to wait until 9th Aug until they are out, and then, he says, i can get in Sky Sports.
I dont really understand why this is so. I didnt bother querying him at the time because i thought it must of been a policy they have, but i have been searching the web and havent found anything that mentions it.

So anyone experience this, is this normal or is this a misunderstanding with the sky guy or something.

Hope someone can shed some light on this, thanks in advance.

You can only change you package once every 30 days and you have to give 30 days notice.

Although a while back i got in both the movies and espn in the same month, so i take it its only the premium packages thats limited this way.
Anyway, again, Thanks for your help.

I don't think it makes a difference, a few years ago they used to to do deals where if you took a higher package they'd give you a new box / free month etc, but the catch was you had to call back the day after you signed up to give 30 days notice to change back down to the basic package at the end of the month!!

    Typical.
Its a ridiculous policy anyway, like 31 days notice, c'mon, it only takes a few taps on a keyboard and its done.
Im actually surprised that they wont allow me the sports until i get out the movies, considering it means more money for them if i get the sports in.

Then to make things worse we have that fat b*stard George Hook on our tv everyday telling us how great and easy Sky service is.
