Yeah.. I can see this thread setting off alerts for the FBI - what with a politician's name and the word assassinated being mentioned in the same sentence.

I wouldn't be upset, though I'd feel quite sorry for their family/friends. I would be a little shocked though - the majority of Irish can't get off their asses to protest/complain properly, so someone going to the effort of actually assassinating someone would surprise me greatly.

Surely it'd be much easier to just not bloody vote for them?

I wouldn't waste my money on a gun and bullet.

Maybe tie him to a bouncy castle and let the kids play with him.

Mary Coughlan would take over, and - as she said on the subject of giving legal parental status to gay couples in Ireland -
"My personal view is that this country is not ready for that and may never, ever, ever be ready for it"

Yeah, once again the chief scumbag of this sorry mess, Berite Ahern, gets away scot-free. Cowen was only second in command.

You won't get banned for that unless Dr. B's having a bad day.

Amen. Well said. Bertie Ahern should be treated as a pariah by any self-respecting citizen of Ireland, not as a "character" or any of that offensively benign rhetoric.
