webcam and mic in Cork

    Hi Lads going to set up skype this weekend and pretty clueless.
    Any recommendations on what webcam and microphone to get and where to buy them.
    I have a desktop about 3 yrs old I will be using for this.

    You can get webcams with integrated microphones

    They have a nice one in argos at the moment for 15 euro reduced from about 40

    Or one for 8 euro with not as good resolution - but still perfectly functional (I have this one)

    Couple of things - most webcams are greatly reduced in price at the moment - because you can now get HD ones (only of use if you have a very good broadband connection really).

    I would be either looking for one with a built in microphone and 1.3 MP - for under 10 euro.

    Or a 5-7MP webcam with built in microphone for under 20.

    You can get webcams in pretty much every shop however the ones above should give you an idea of price and spec that filters out the crap !
