How to break out of iframe?

I have a dialog that contains an iframe which shows a list of usernames. When any of these names are clicked I want to close the iframe and open the users profile page. So how do I break out of the iframe and redirect the main page to the user profile?

[HTML]<a href="profile path" target="_top">username</a>[/HTML]you need to put a target in your links. to break out of a frame the target is "_top", "_blank" is for a new window and so on
