Couldn't find after searching through the forums.

Does anybody know where you can go to play pool on the cheap in D4/D6/D2?

Pubs are all well and good but having to pay for drinks, not so much.

    Thanks!

You can play pool downstairs in the Camden Palace. Not sure what time they open at though.

Break for the Border don't force you to buy drinks as long as you're paying for the pool. Sh*te place at night but grand during the day for a couple of games.

There is a pool hall on South William St., I believe. No idea of the name though. It's on the right as you travel down towards Suffolk St.

If it's the same as it was a few years ago it's a kip.

Is the pool hall still in Cineworld on Parnell Sq?

Don’t mean to hijack but a friend and I are interested in finding a decent place to play in the d2/d4/d6 area also. I’ve heard about the Palace on Camden street but not sure if they still have tables and what the scene there is like.

Isn't there a pool hall above the slot machine place on the Rathmines Road?I was in there a few months back, could be closed down now,I haven't been out that way in a while so not 100% sure.

Far as I know it's still there (I think). There's a kind of arcade place connecting to Cineworld's side/back entrance and in there upstairs there are a few tables. It's not a proper pool hall though, it's filled with kids too but still good.

The place in Rathmines is called edge. It's beside Lidl. Slot machines downstairs, pool/snooker upstairs.

Decent tables, fairly new. Nice and bright up there. There are 4 pool tables and they just take coins. €1.50 per game or €3 for 3 games I think. There's four full size snooker tables too. You pay for them by the hour and you can use a set of pool balls on them if you want.

There's another place in Rathmines, on the corner near the car park for the swan centre. Think it's called Goodfellas? It's darker up there, more traditional snooker hall feel to it!

I'm nearly sure both venues are open 24/7 too.

The Palace still have several tables (they just moved them from upstairs to downstairs)...I like the bigger American style tables...12 euro an hour so not cheap but no obligation to buy drink...have had many the good night there...and there is no scanger element to deal with

I think in the arcade at cineworld it's only like 2 euro a game, if your games last longer than 12 minutes, might be worth giving it a go.
