Rapidshare downloads impossibly slow

I have tried downloading some mixes from Rapidshare.com recently and the speeds are the lowest I have ever seen.....around 2kb/sec max. Other sites are fine and it is definitely not my broadband connection. I even signed up to be a premium member but this has not helped at all.

Can anyone please let me know what's going on?

    Thanks

Never thought of that. I'm with Clearwire and only recently am having these issues with Rapidshare. I will call them and ask.

What might help is changing your dns to someone like: http://www.opendns.com/ It wouldn't do any harm anyway ;)

Have to say I have never or at least can't remember ever having problems with RS.

Hate their new 5gig daily limit though.

I used to love saving that up and downloading a good 25 gigs overnight :)

Clearwire are not that bad actually. I regularly achieve download speeds of 200kb/sec with them, depending on what time of the day it is.

Pretty sure Happy hour is still in effect. Just remember that it goes by CET time zone.

Really? I was with them for about 6 months & was lucky to get about 60-80 kb/s with them on average & they were a pain in the arse for throttling bandwidth on certain sites & programs. Upload speeds were just awful. Got rid of them about a year ago maybe they've improved since then.

Apples and oranges, if you don't say where you're located, tbh.
