Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's an old expression that says "I wouldn't wish death on them" but constantly reading about his battle with his demons in the papers i can say that i wouldn't wish the last years of his life on anyone. hopefully in the afterlife he can find the peace he never found in this one.

When Higgins was at his peak, it seems that those running snooker were terrified of him and maybe rightly so. They were glad to see the back of him.

Today, Barry Hearn would love a Alex Higgins. Higgins epitomises what snooker needs today.

He was talented, arrogant, vulnerable, charismatic and unpredictable who connected with the general public positively and negatively.

    He was a star.

    Rest in peace Alex.

His reaction to winning the 1982 World Championship is one of my favourite sporting moments. It's quiet sad how is life turned out but I'm glad to see his suffering is finally over. According to Jimmy Whites biography, he once saw Alex get back to back 147's in an exhibition match they were playing years ago.

A true legend of Snooker and Sport!
