Diary of a wimpy kid - release date?

Anyone got any idea of a release date for this in Ireland? Can't find it in any lists of films due for release, and my 9 yr old is driving me mad! Any assistance much appreciated.

No UK / IRL release date has been announced as far as I know.

EDIT: Actually.. this website seems to suggest August 20th, but it's not confirmed!

Irish Film ditributors now say August 25th.

based on reviews, it's supposed to be crap. And the DVD is "out there"...i need not say more.
