Taman Negara in Malaysia

I'm going to be in the Perenthian Islands in August and I was wondering what the easiest way to go trekking in Taman Negara is. I'm flying home from Kuala Lumpar and I would probably have 3 or 4 days at most to spare. The Lonely Planet guide doesnt say much. Do many travel agencies sell treks etc. or is it best to go on your own? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Ya ive been there. I did 4 days - hill walk / bat caving / river journeys / nature walks, that kind of thing. Think we booked before getting there with a company over the net but there are loads of tour operators set up where you leave from who you can go with too. I would def recommend going with a company and you will be able to tell the operator that you only want 3/4 days and you can pick what you want to do.

One of the best places I went, really chilled out. If you are looking for hard core treking through the jungle im sure they will sell you that too.

I went there 2 years ago on my own and would recommend going with a company if you want to get a lot done in the 3/4 days. But if you're not pushed about seeing everywhere or prefer to do your own thing, many things are accessible without a guide. The walks are quite easy to do on your own as they are well marked out.
