Random E-mails from my hotmail

People on my contact list seem to be recieving e-mails directing them to websites advertising all sorts of products. These e-mails don't appear on my sent items in Hotmail. Is this a virus on my laptop? Any help would be appreciated.

im getting the same problem on my Yahoo account.
hs only happened the once so far that i know of, only last Sunday.

Check out the I think I have a virus thread and follow the instructions. Also when you are finished with that change all your passwords or it could keep happening.

Seems to be that a lot of hotmail accounts were hacked into recently.Got a mail myself but my spyware scanner marked the links as a scam url. name was tradeshopping888.com. Whatever you do don't click on the link !!!
