The "Old" team rules seem to be breaking down. Contador attacking Schlek when he's had a mechanical fault, and now Roche (tema leader) not getting assistance from his tem-mate?. Mmmm:rolleyes:

By the sounds of it Gadret couldn't have been more helpful if he had another teams jersey under the AG2R one...

Only got to see the stage highlights last night and it's a rare thing to see the rider accepting the maillot jaune getting booed also - says a lot

As our team car was No 11 in the cavalcade and it would take a lot of time for them to get to me through the streams of dropped riders, I asked Gadret -- who was there to help me -- for his wheel. I couldn't believe what happened next. He just shook his head and said 'Non'. At first I thought he was joking, but soon realised he wasn't when he kept riding past me.
    holy sh*t!

He should get assigned to bottle boy for the next few stages.

Typical french arrogance. What a day though. Great tour this year

    So much for team support....

Roche needs to attack today (stage16) as the stage 17 looks like a finish for the pure climbers...

Sounds like if there are any "accidents" involving Gadret, the team manager will be suspect #2!

Bet you he checked his bike very carefully this morning.

Mark Renshaw has established that you only get expelled from the tour on the third headbutt.

Roche should make both of them count.

Bet you he wouldn't have said "non" to Hinault:

(when did Seve Ballesteros get into cycling????)

    Maybe Nicolas needs to HTFU:)

Stephen is in that photo on the far left, looking a bit worried!

Well f**k you, Gadret. I'll remember to call you a bâtard next time I see the tour.

From the (hilarious) live ticker at the Guardian:
...but is Nicolas Roche not as French as baguettes, onion necklaces and looking contemptuous while smoking a Gitanes? I know his old man is fabled Galtee cheese endorser Stephen Roche, but he spells his name in the French style(e) without an 'H', was born in France to a French mother and declared for France in 2005.

He's as Irish (if not more so) than Ray Houghton , Andy Townsend Emma Davis, Dion O'Cunneghan, Simon Geoghaghan(sp) etc. Of course until it suits us to dump them back ala Rory McIlroy on Friday afternoon.

Hinault hooked his drive into the woods.
Seve refused to wait while he looked for his ball, insisting he take a drop.
    Then all hell broke loose.
    Maybe.

He is obviously not respected in his own team, which to be frank is unsurprising given that he has one sweet FA in his career.
Imagine a team mate saying no to the likes of Sean Kelly, Roy Keane, Anthony Foley et al.
Not much of a team. I said it last year and I will repeat it, if he wants to improve he needs to move to a team with better structures, ambitions and riders. I can see how hour will ever amount to much at the ragtag bunch of journeymen.

It was a farmers (i think) protest that was blocking the road to get some tv coverage, and the Badger wasn't too pleased!
