Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'll be up for the two DPT leagues as well. Need to look up how an auction league works as i've never done one of those before.

    The Premier League is still waiting on one member to join who is currently abroad and we have set a deadline until mid august for him. As the NFL season doesn't kick off until Sept I can't see why you are in such a rush to get it finalised. Besides that there is still plenty of time for more to sign up to D2 to make it a 16 team league.

    Yup thats the plan and I couldn't find a mock draft anywhere to be honest not with 16 teams anyways. Wouldn't mind doing one to see how I get on.

    These are the scoring settings we have in Prem:
    Offense

    * Passing Yards: 1 point per 25 yards

    Right will try and update them asap and should I make it 3 divisions??

    Edit - Ok points updated and I have made it three division and just chose the divisions at random. Let me know if thats ok or if there should be anything different.

    Just to the lads that are in the division. Before the season starts, make sure you are happy with all the settings cos it is my first time doing it, so don't want to mess it up, hope everyone is happy.

    You can do 16 team mock drafts here although a lot of them are PPR.

    Post here if you're planning on doing one later and I'll join.

    Can I make a suggestion on scoring? No negative points for the defence. It's a bad enough feeling when you fcuk up on the Defence you select and you get 0points but to actually lose points is a bit harsh! I know it was a playoff game but the cardinals put 51past the Packers. That'd mean your team loses 4points, pritty harsh!

    Maybe getting 0 points for conceeding more than 27points?

    To be honest with you isn't that the fun of Fantasy picking the right lineup? In that game the Packers Defense would only have cost you 1 point as they recovered a fumble which is 2pts and got 1 sack which is 1pt.

    Look at it this way your QB could also lose you 1 pt. Say he only gets 100yds and no TD thats only 4pts but then he throws 3 Ints and Fumbles that is a 5 point lose. I find when there is loss of points at risk you tend to make sure you look at the match ups that much more.

    Def, K, Morris and Brandon Tate were autopicks as I'd to take a call. I'm not sure of the best way to draft in a 16 man league. I also think taking 16 players is way too many. There'll be nothing to draft there with 16 teams, I definitely think player knowledge will help if we've a big bench... In terms of draft order anywhere between 5-11 will do me to be honest. First pick is great and all but there's a pretty long gap before you go. I took 3 qb's too. If there's a big bench could be worthwhile to trade later.

    Btw Tallaght, I like the Derek Anderson pick.

    How is a mock draft off topic in a thread called "Fantasy Football 2010". If the thread was called 12man mock drafts I could see your argument. Also NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ EVERY POST IN THIS THREAD!

    I'll try a 16man mock draft tomorrow, I can load that site on my iPhone so do you get to choose your draft position or is it randomly assigned, just I imagine there's a much bigger difference being no 1 to no 8 in a 16man draft compaired to 1 and 6 in a 12man!

    Would you guys be interested in trying to arrange a group mock draft, say whoever could make it onto that site at 10pm/11pm tomorrow? Or anytime that suits. Would be a bit of fun if nothing else.

    Cool. Say 11pm? The draft itself would probably be somewhere between 11:04 and 11:06pm. I'll post the room number in here at 11 just to be safe. It'll most likely be a 16 team PPR, but just ignored the PPR and treat it as a general league. I'll PM a few reminders about 10pm tomorrow to whoever posts here between now and then. Anybody from any of the divisions can take part as I doubt we'll fill it anyway, but if you feel like a 16 team league is a disgusting act of persecution, then this may not be for you.
