    Hmmmm

Reading it instead of jumping on the headline and the clampers were in the right imo.

"GARDAI are investigating an incident during which clampers lifted a car on to a tow truck with two young children inside.

The bizarre incident occurred in Cork city on Saturday when a mother and her two children, returned to their car at around 4pm. It was parked illegally in a loading bay on South Mall in the city.

As the trio arrived, they saw a harness had already been attached to the car.

The children, said to be aged nine and 10, hopped into the car before it was lifted off the ground in the hope of preventing it being towed away."

AA spokesman Conor Faughnan said: "It does seem like a heavy-handed incident.

"You would like to think that common sense and civility would prevail. I am only surprised that this type of incident does not happen more often. "

And what of common sense parking Mr Faughnan?

Illegally parked. Car should have been crushed into a cube.
I'd probably remove the children first but maybe hide them on her for a bit. Crush the car into a child shape or something. Just a bit of a shock. That'd help her find the ****ing multistorey in future.

The child in the front seat looks too small to be sitting there - its head is below the level of the headrest, putting its face in direct line with the airbag.

Shame on the parents for using the children as pawns to refuse to pay for a justified clamping fee. Also what sort of example is that to teach to your children?!
The fact they got away with it is also disgraceful:rolleyes:

Still nothing will ever beat clamping an ambulance at Dublin Airport.

That's the whole point of having kids, I thought

Usually I'd agree that the woman was wrong to use her children in that manner. However, the fact remains that every single clamper who was ever shat into creation is a dispeakable, lowlife, slimey prick and thus, the use of child hostages against them is fair game.

Woman parks illegally then endangers her children, yet the clampers are wrong :confused:

Can anyone explain this to me, does the womans two wrongs somehow make her right?

    Those crazy Corkonians.

I hate people that turn something like this into a human-rights battle. Don't park illegally you dumb fucking witch. Surely that's not so difficult to comprehend?

She is the one that should be charged if she stood there and let her kids climb into the car.

I'm sick of this attitude. Why, exactly, are clampers the scum of the earth? Because they do their job? I have no sympathy for any idiot who gets clamped, when you park your car illegally, you know fully well that you are running the risk of getting caught, but will still complain at lengths about having to shell out the €70 or so to get the clamp removed. It's Irish "ah sure it'll be grand" chancery at it's finest. Sure why the hell should you not be allowed to park on double-yellow lined loading bay in the middle of a city, sure everybody can just drive around you? Can the delivery men not just walk around your car?

Fair play to the clampers for not backing down until the mental bint rang the guardaí after willingly putting the health of her two precious brats in danger.

Take a shoe off one of the kids and place it poking out of a fold in the metal...... "Mary had a little lamb" on a loop tape just within earshot.

Those kids should have been beaten like an inter county GAA referee for pulling a caper like that.

....but it was the clampers who put the health and safety of the kids at risk by lifting a car with them inside?
I'd say that was gross misconduct on their part of their job and therefore should be sacked.

The mother must have told the children to get into to the car she used her children in an argument, that to me = Bad Mother!

No sympathy for them. On one of the only Joe Duffy shoes I listened to they were talking about clampers. Pretty much all the people calling in were in the wrong but felt they were hard done.

No, the mother is responsible if there was any danger to the kids, which, I'd imagine there wasn't (What weight can those winces lift?). She made the decision to tell the kids to get in the car. I wonder will there be any charges brought against her?

She shouldn't have let the kids get in the car. They must see this kind of shit every day and are forced to stand aside. Perhaps they shouldn't have lifted the car but they should not have let her drive away. It's disgusting to use your children like that.

She sounds like a complete wagon. If they lose their jobs, she should be severely punished as well.

Tell your kids to jump into a car that's about to be lifted? A1 parenting!

She sounds like a complete wagon. If they lose their jobs, she should be very severely punished as well.

Couldnt agree more if they lose there jobs she should get a visit from child services to take her children into care, she endangered the kids as much as the clampers did.

Regardless of the wrong doings of the woman, the clampers should not have lifted the car - PERIOD!
They knew what they were doing but seemed to think they are a law onto themselves. Bad call.

    I don't. I hope they get a bonus.

The silly bitch was parked illegally & instead of paying up & taking the punishment she told her kids to get into the car & proceeded to make a complete tit out of herself.

And I'm not a fan of clampers but any stretch of the imagination but I find it hard how anyone could blame this one on them.

As for the idea that clampers are scum, I have no idea. All I know is that I've never been clamped, towed away or ticketed because I don't insist on parking dangerously or illegally like a selfish cunt.
