    I havent seen one ad on the telly where a woman is drinking a pint. If a woman must drink a pint then it be lagar or cider but Guinness a big no no, thats a mans drink.

    It never occurred to me that it meant anything at all until recently. I've started going out with a new crowd and getting some 'girls who drink pints' comments. So what? I like beer (wine wrecks my teeth, as does orange/coke/most mixers) and if I get a half, I finish it before everyone else and have to go to the bar twice as often. Never occurred to me that it looked laddish or slapperish.

    Ha i'm the same-my hands are tiny too-can hardly grab a pint glass properly:o

    I just can't handle my drink anymore, so people don't notice how little i'm drinking with bottles:pac:

    Buy a pint and then ask for a half pint glass. Fúck them all. Or if a bloke says it tell him STFU he's probably jealous 'cause you'd drink him under the table and wouldn't even have to try.

    How often has this come up? I love pints, drink them when I'm out. But that being said, something I feel that other women really judge me for drinking them. In college, hardly any of my female friends drank beer, never mind pints. I was 'strange' for drinking pints. It made me really paranoid, and I remember asking my ex one of the first times we were in the pub if he was put off by me drinking pints. He wasn't.

    Where did you go to college? I never got any comments in Ireland but have had a few in England.

    Depends on the cocktail-there are some girly ones out there.
    But still wouldn't bother me as such.

    I love drinking pints :D. Why pay more for a bottle and a glass of ice (ice with beer pfft)? I don't understand this, ice with perfectly cold, nice beer. And as for a glass of beer, never.

    When I lived in the UK, me and another Irish girl in work were the only girls drinking pints on a Friday evening and the lads used to give us some slaggings about it...the same lads who'd be puking/weaving their way towards the tube at 9pm :rolleyes:

    I want a pint now...
