    You bring up some fair points my man. I myself ain't the biggest fan of the ranking system, but for people with too much time on their hands the ranking system seems like the be all and end all when it comes to playing the Modern Warfare series, or any online game with a ranking system.

    No matter how long some noobs play the game, it will take them days to reach the levels where the bigs guns come into play, and then they won't know the difference between a water pistol and an M16 when they get one lol.

    As for Celtic's comment about getting rid of grenades and snipers... that does baffle me lol

    zactly, I started playing MW2 in multiplayer only in March, think I was put into lobbies with guys at lvl1 like me? I was in my hole, all experienced players, I had to work my way up, same as everyone else. I feel sorry for people only getting into it now, the learning curve is a bitch on it as the matchmaking system is so sh1te.

    There is no difference between the famas and the m16 , if anything the famas has a slight advantage .

    It's not. Stats are identical apart from the fact that the Famas does better damage over longer range than the M16. Other than that, they're identical. The rest is just personal preference and maybe which iron sights you prefer. (For me the Famas wins this one too).

    On the whole "doing away with level ups", while I guess it would possibly eliminate the boosting element (apart from nuke boosting), it would also mean that everyone would have access to noobtube/Danger Close from the first second they play the game. Personally I'd make this the last things that are unlocked so that it's harder for people to get access to them. Make it tougher than FMJ kills and see how many people run with the noobtube class by default!

    Also, levelling up brings in the element of Role Play to the game, where you "develop" your character over time, alá Mass Effect etc etc. Personally I love that, but I accept it isn't for everyone.

    Thats personal preference your making your judgment on , not fact.

    Stats no difference except the famas is better on long range.

    Also the famas is the preferred a/r used by serious competitors , and that says a lot.

    On cod4 it was the m16 , but that was a different game.

    The reason the M16 isn't unlocked until level 40 is because in COD 4 every little whore player used (uses) it from the start because it's massively overpowered. The problem with MW2 is that they for some reason put an identical gun in there from the start that most of the whore players started using. Still they've made nearly every other AR more powerful so although still annoying, it's not as big a deal as COD 4.

    For everyone complaining about quickscoping, it's been around in every COD so they wont take it out and why should they? If you can't kill a guy who has to hit you with 1 bullet when you have an SMG/AR then you deserve to die imo. Also, everyone who says running around with a sniper is unrealistic, SO IS GETTING A GOD DAMN HIT MARKER WITH SOMETHING THAT BLOWS LIMBS OFF IN REAL LIFE (sorry, got a bit worked up there :D )

    These deal with a large amount of previous things people wanted and didn't want

    Ie: Noob tubes could be disabled, Maps selected on entering the game etc

    No AR or SMG in the game is capable of a one hit kill.

    There are levels of unrealistic behaviour that people can accept.... using a sniper like a shotgun and teleporting knifers are beyond those levels people can accept as "a bit" unrealistic. They are VERY unrealistic.

    it is in the realms of possibility to use a sniper like that though, just extremely difficult and there's be no point in real life, it takes more skill to use a sniper than any other gun in the game so I think making some allowances is OK.

    The FAMAS and M16 are one burst kill weapons with stopping power which is pretty much like a 1 hit kill which makes a mockery of needing skill to get kills, I mean I could have a TAR and hit all my shots perfect but if he releases one burst before I get 5 or 6 bullets in him I'm dead...

    Noob tube only available as perk or secondary.

    Keep Danger Close, I know people hate it because of tubers but it's great if you use claymores a lot and air support. Maybe set it so it doesn't increase noob tube damage.

    Keep the map settings, it'd get far too boring if everyone chose the same maps over and over. We have our strengths and weaknesses on each one so it doesn't bother me.

    Reward more points for good teamwork i.e. taking out air support, defending bomb carrier/bomb site.

    Yes, I get shag all xp for shooting down harriers and uavs when you consider the risk you put yourself at doing it, yet someone who sits in one spot, camps his way to an ac-130 and wrecks the other team gets all the glory. MW2 really does reward selfish players more than team players, especially in tactical sitations. You get guys who dont bother even attempting to capture a domination point yet win the match on kills, the xp per kill on tactical games should be miniscule except for S&D.

    MW2 has shown me what true power is - therefore, I want a FMK attachment for my fully automatic shotgun. Yes, I want full metal knives to blast out in close quarters, but not just that. I want a fourth perk, attainable only by glitching the system, where I get sitrep super pro so I can see enemies through walls. This, I feel is entirely reasonable and only a half-step removed from what we have now. I also want to be able to use a blast shield with a tactical nuke to explode (with knives as shrapnel), for when I get bored. Furthermore, I demand a killstreak which unleashes zombies against the other team (and if they have cold blooded they have to walk with them groaning à la Sean of the Dead to avoid being attacked). And a sniper rifle so accurate and powerful that it can shoot somebody on a different server, with an exploding knife instead of a bullet. And predator camo. And a tactical insertion that I can throw (either off the map, or stick to an enemy).

    I'd like there to be a kinda "grudge" option, where you can select a player on the other team (one that has probably been pi$$ing you off with trash talk) and he stands out amongst his team-members, so you can select him for special treatment/humiliation :D

    That might work as a kind of optional anti-camper deathstreak (with a similar mechanic to copycat). You, enraged, could inherit a glow (and since this might not be what your teammates want, friendly fire could then harm you) making you a target for everyone on the other team, but the guy you want to revenge kill could glow brightly as a target for all your teammates - the glow could end when either your or your nemesis died, or if your killer moved a significant distance away from where he killed you originally. Might be perfect for when you get campers hiding in glitches (the rock in Fuel springs to mind).
