    Guys,

I tried the product called CleanAir from AQuartz.
You can smoke in the car now, it kills the smell completely, this thing is just insane.
It is able to kill germs, viruses, toxic odors etc..
    Here are the details.

Some use it in shoes etc and the smell just goes away within seconds.

PS: I do not sell this, this is just the manufacturer website here...
I bought it from an Irish dealer though, I can give the details if someone want some...

Oh I love how modern and exciting their website is with the navigation links being horizontal.

A green tree does me fine though.

What form does it come in and how do you apply it?

    Was it expensive?

Would it work if you drove your car into a bog. :D

    I did that once. :(

Yeah their site is not the greatest, but their products are just unlike any others. They are Korean btw.
But hey seriously this has nothing to do with a green tree. This thing does not smell anything, it does not cover odors. It destroys them.

They also have another product called Iron Cut. Basically it melts the deposits (along other things) on your car body, wheels, such as brake dust etc.

If you clean your wheels, and still have black dots etc on them and cant get rid of them, apply the Iron Cut, leave it 3 mn or so, wipe it with a sponge and it is all gone.

What they do is far superior to anything else I have ever seen.
They are pretty new to the market, but are already regarded as one of the most innovative companies out there.

It is a small 120ml spray bottle. Liquid is transparent.
You spray it on the carpet for examle, live it a few minutes and just wipe it out once.
It will be active for months apparently, I only used it since the last week, so I can't vouch for that.

I paid 18 euro, which is not cheap, but well worth it. There is some serious scientific research behind this thing.

The main ingredient in this stuff, titanium dioxide has long been known as a deodorizing agent, it's been added to paints and cements for this very purpose for some time now. There is however a flip side and that is that there is some research that suggests that it is carcinogenic when ingested or inhaled in powder form, so I for one wouldn't be rushing to spray the stuff all over the inside of my car.

I know someone who is something of an expert in the chemistry of nano particles so I've emailed him to ask what he thinks of this.

Interresting, that needs to be cleared up alright.
Obvsiouly the product itself would need to be tested I suppose before jumping to any conclusion.

I got a reply from my expert ...
The use of light activated TiO2 to purify air is perfectly reasonable. There shouldn't be any problem with cancer etc., as the particles should remain on the coating. I am not sure how efficient it would be. Obviously it depends on light, so it certainly wouldn't be very efficient in the early hours.

I have an ex-student who has a project making coatings for hospitals using TiO2. That's specifically anti-microbial, but will probably also take out organic dirt. The Japanese have self-cleaning hobs and also tunnels based on the technology.

So it looks as if it'd be OK as long as the TiO2 particles remain firmly in the coating and don't become airborne.

I have checked with someone who is familiar with this exact product. From the material safety data sheet, the active ingredient is Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) but this accounts for less than 3% of the product by volume. 80%+ is Water (H2O) - the carrier. So it is not like you are spraying undiluted Titanium Dioxide around the place. With any product even household sprays or air fresheners, I would always wear gloves, a mask and eye protection. Especially if working in an enclosed space like a car interior. But if Titanium Dioxide is also used in toothpaste and sunscreen in small quantities, I wouldn't be overly concerned. Sure some of those air fresheners you hang on a rear view mirror give people sore throats and all sorts of irritants. I'd say far more of a health risk many times over. And that is before we even get to the subject of passive smoking.

Thanks I am feeling better now lol.

Anyway a truely effective product indeed. It destroys microbs and all, so it makes your environment (car interior for example) a lot safer and cleaner from a health point of view.
