True but we know the outcome and it showed a side to Mel that we got earlier glimpse of before she was even on the scene - when the episode with the cops took place.

Regardless of what she might have done or not, his behaviour, language, physical violence and threats are totality inexcusable.

Frankly, unless any woman was the Virgin Mary, it sounds like he would have not respect for them at all.

Well, he admitted hitting her, and is clearly a little bit unhinged. I was scared tbh.

As for her, it seemed like she basically set him up to hang himself with that call.

Also, she does sound like she's in need of a soul...she was so emotionless during the whole thing.

She has stated this to the judge in the court room and its been stated in the American press also.
She feared for herself and her child when she got so many of these typical calls from Mel so she started to record them to verify her claims of fear of him and show just cause for it.

Seriously disappointing TBH. Used to think this guy was a legend. Mad max, the lethal weapon films. I thought he was the coolest guy in the world when i was a kid.

Whatever about the abusive language, there just words. But punching the girlfriend in the face while holding his child? Thats fcuking disgusting.

TBH, I originally groaned when I heard his ex-gf had recorded the conversations, but now I'm convinced she did the right thing. Even if she is a bit crackers, he's clearly a dangerous man who should not be around children.

There are 2 sides to every story. Her secretly recording and releasing recordings of an obviously deeply upset boyfriend at the end of his tether does her no favours either. It's entirely possible she is a cold emotionally and psychologically manipulative gold digger who eventually managed to give the guy brain damage. But on the bright side he hasn't got form for raping children so he is still no roman polanski.

I respect the man as an actor and film maker - but as a caring decent human being? That I am currently in very much doubt.

If she was he can just walk away, he's Mel ****ing Gibson for gods sake. He's been touted as one of the most attractive men on the planet for decades. It's not like this is the first oddity from him it's just the latest and now he has caught two other people up in his madness.
