I have a job, just for the Summer mind, I'm in college the rest of the year. Pretty happy about it :) I have a bunch of friends working too in basic retail jobs and also one or two have specific skills (one is a student nurse so is working in a nursing home and one is a lifeguard so works at a pool) so getting jobs was easier for them.

Are you working part-time? You have to be as a week at minimum wage would clear more then the dole

You know you can claim the dole for days you don't work, there are certain rules on it.

Are you working minimum wage and part time hours?

Nobody in a full time job (except maybe first year apprentices, no idea how much they make these days) is earning less than someone on the dole, unless they're illegally being paid less than minimum wage.

The dole is only €10192 per year if you're on the full €196 a week.

EDIT: Just signed off this week and start a new job on the 19th after a year and a half of unemployment. It feels good.
